A manicure is a nail service that involves cleansing, shaping, and caring for the natural nails and surrounding skin of the hands, often finished with a polish or gel application.

An acrylic full set is a type of artificial nail enhancement where acrylic is applied over your natural nails (or with added tips) to create longer, stronger, and more shaped nails. Acrylics generally last around 2–4 weeks, depending on how quickly your natural nails grow and how well you care for them. As your natural nail grows, you'll see a gap near the cuticle, which is why people usually get a fill rather than removing and replacing the entire set every time.

Gel-X is a soft-gel, full-cover nail extension system. A pre-shaped, full-cover gel tip is selected to fit the natural nail and adhered using a gel adhesive. The tip and adhesive are then cured under an LED/UV lamp.

Builder gel is a thicker, stronger gel product used to add structure, strength, and durability to the natural nail. Unlike regular gel polish, which is mainly used for color, builder gel helps create a stronger foundation and can also be used to build and shape the nail. Builder gel is great for clients who want to grow their natural nails, add extra strength, or achieve a more structured and polished look without necessarily getting a traditional acrylic enhancement. As a nail tech, I can use builder gel to reinforce the natural nail, create an apex for added strength, and help protect the nail from everyday wear and tear. Depending on the product and technique, builder gel can also be used for overlays, extensions, and structured manicures.
